How to make my ballet flats(shoes) not smell stinky?

I love wearing ballet flats. The only problem i always have with them, is that they always smell within a month or two. any remedies or ideas i can use to stop the from smelling?

there are some commercial sprays and powders that fight shoe odor. Or you can get the toe of an old nylon and put baking soda in it and keep them in the shoes whenever you aren’t wearing them.
